So be patient and trust their instructions.Īnd my nurses heavily stressed to NOT sleep with the gauze in. I drooled (don’t try to spit) out some saliva and blood (nothing heavy or profuse!) for another hour or so but it started clearing up finally. But I trusted my instructions and didn’t put anything back in there. I put my last (dampened) gauze I had in there and made sure it was firmly in there and left it for another 30 mins. I did change my gauze a few times, every 15 mins as I was instructed, and it was still pretty bloody even after that hour. But they said I shouldn’t be putting any gauze in there after 1 hour after the surgery. My mouth really didn’t stop bleeding until like 2 hours afterward. Currently sitting on the couch, face half numb still and covered with an ice pack lol. Hey, I also got my wisdom teeth removed this morning.
